Which indicators are used for the ranking?
Mobile networks
The indicator selected for the ranking of mobile networks is the overall nPerf score.
The nPerf score takes account of all measurements taken during a complete test: download speed, upload speed, browsing performance, video streaming performance and latency.
This means the indicator represents the average user experience for each of the operators present.
Only operators with national network coverage are selected.
In order to avoid a negative impact from using outdated devices, only tests carried out on 4G-compatible devices are taken into account.
Fixed-line networks
The indicator selected for the ranking of fixed-line networks is the nPerf score, expressed in nPoints. It gives an overall picture of the quality of a connection. It takes into account measured bitrates (2/3 Download + 1/3 Upload) and latency.
The average speeds are calculated by averaging all of the average download and upload speeds measured over the period.
These values are calculated on a logarithmic scale to better represent the perception of the user.
This means the indicator represents the average user experience for each of the operators present. It therefore takes into account all packages offered by the operator, regardless of price.
Only operators with national network coverage are selected.
